A NOTE FROM THE SENIOR PASTOR
I have some good news to share this week! The Elders and I along with a Group of 25 representing our Chinese & English congregations, have been working for most of this year on redesigning our NBC leadership structure. The current structures have served us well in the past, but do not reflect the growing changes at NBC, and we recognise the need for some change. I want to let you know that the Council at it’s meeting this week unanimously agreed to bring a proposal of a new leadership and organisational structure to the church membership. There is somewhat of a process to this as laid out in our constitution which we need to follow, as it involves changing some parts of our constitution. So we are today, announcing a Special Members Meeting which will take place on Wednesday 24th October, at which we will bring a “notice of motion” to alter some parts of the constitution which relate to our leadership structure, and to adopt a new proposed leadership structure to be put in place for a trial period. The proposed changes will be explained at the special meeting, and there will be opportunity for discussion and questions, but there will be no decisions made at that meeting. In November, we plan to have some smaller informal discussion evenings for those who would like to hear more, and then on Wednesday 28th November at our General Members Meeting, we will be bringing the motion for decision. The Council want to strongly encourage you to be part of this process, so that you can be fully informed, and we would ask you to continue praying that God would lead us as we seek to follow His plans & purposes for NBC.

本週分享一些好消息！ 长老们和我以及代表我們中英文會眾的25人小組，今年大部分時間都在重新設計我們NBC管理架構。目前的架構在過去很好地發揮了作用，但沒有反映NBC日益增長的變化，我們認識到需要做出一些改變。我想告訴大家，教会议会本週三的會議一致同意，将向教會会員提出新的領導和組織架構提案。按照我們的章程，我們需要遵循一些程序，因為它涉及改變我們憲法的某些部分。所以我們今天宣布將於10月24日星期三舉行的特別会员大会，我們將在會上提出“動議”，以修改與我們的領導結構有關的章程的某些部分，並通過一項新的提案，让新的領導架構在一段試用期內落實到位。建议要修改的内容將在會議上解釋，並有機會進行討論和提問，但在那次會議上不會作出任何决议。 在11月，我們計劃為那些想要聽取更多意見的人舉辦一些較小的非正式討論晚會，然後在11月28日星期三的全體會員大會上，会员们將做出決定。教会议会尽力鼓勵你參與這個過程，以便你可以充分了解，我們请会众为此事繼續祷告神会带领我们，在我們尋求遵循祂對NBC的計劃和目的時。
